The time is ripe to get healthy!
Don’t miss the grand opening of the new Modesto Medical Center (MMC) Farmers' Market beginning Thursday, June 4, 2009. It will be held every Thursday from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. and located in the exterior patio adjacent to the south entrance of the facility.
Fresh fruits and produce will be offered by Louie’s Fruit & Produce, which also operates our Stockton Farmers Market. Weekly specials will be offered to help you save money while adding fresh fruits and vegetables to your meals. Kaiser Permanente’s Health Education Department will also be providing recipes that can give you ideas on how to use the featured item of the week.
As a special opening promotion, MMC Farmers Market shoppers can enter a prize drawing for a special edition copy of “Eating Well In Season: The Farmers’ Market Cookbook
” by Preston Maring, M.D. Maring is considered the founder of the Kaiser Permanente farmers market concept and he has a website that features more information on KP farmers markets and delicious recipes at:
