Important information about getting a Flu shot

Flu clinics in the Central Valley are now closed due to a limited supply of both seasonal and H1N1 flu vaccine.

For updates on the availability of flu vaccine at our medical offices:

California state health officials are making limited quantities of H1N1 flu vaccine available to Kaiser Permanente and other health care organizations. The supply is expected to increase in the coming weeks.

Because the current supply of H1N1 vaccine is limited, we are giving it to certain high-risk groups first, including:

  • pregnant women
  • children 6 months to 18 years old
  • caregivers of children less than six months old
  • health care workers who provide direct patient care

Please keep in mind that these priority groups are subject to change. As supplies of the H1N1 vaccine increase, vaccinations will expand to include additional priority groups. Call the KP Flu Hotline for the latest details.

The H1N1 vaccine, like the seasonal flu shot, is free for Kaiser Permanente members.
