Sleep Medicine Services
Welcome to the Diablo Service Area Sleep Clinic at Kaiser Permanente's Martinez Medical Offices. Our team of highly skilled Respiratory Therapists and Pulmonary Physicians are dedicated to providing you the best care in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of patients with sleep disorders. Patients are typically seen in the outpatient sleep clinic located in the Alhambra Building for initial evaluation of their sleep complaints. The first step in the evaluation is to check for evidence of Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Even mild levels of Sleep Apnea can result in daytime fatigue and problems with concentration. More severe levels of s Sleep a Apnea have been linked to a variety of health issues, including high blood pressure, diabetes, and increased risks of heart attack and stroke. Testing and treatment of Sleep Apnea is usually done in our outpatient sleep clinic.
For those patients requiring further evaluation, the outpatient sleep clinic may arrange for consultation with a regional sleep specialist or an attended sleep study at our Regional Attended Sleep Medicine Lab at Kaiser Permanente in San Jose.
