PHASE: Preventing Heart Attacks and Strokes Everyday
Find out what you can do to help prevent heart attacks and strokes through heart healthy nutrition, safe and effective exercise, stress management, and lifestyle change strategies as well as medications to prevent these events. We recommend this single-session class for anyone living with heart disease, diabetes, peripheral arterial disease, or chronic kidney disease. Open to Kaiser Permanente members only.

Multifit
Multifit is for members who have recently had a heart attack, angioplasty, or bypass surgery. In this unique program, a nurse works closely with you and your physician to design a personalized plan to help reduce your risk of further heart problems. To participate in this class, please talk to your doctor about a referral. Open to Kaiser Permanente members only.

Walk toward better health using a pedometer!
Pedometers are a motivating, easy to use tool to measure your activity level and help you even be more active! When clipped to your belt or waistband, it measures the number of steps you take as you go about your day.
Most Americans walk between 2,000 and 5,000 steps each day (10,000 per day is considered a good general goal). Regular use of a pedometer can help you indentify your individual activity patterns. Once you know your activity level, you can set a reasonable goal that you can feel confident about reaching each day. Gradually, you can work toward increasing your activity level over time. Pedometers are affordable, fun and easy to use for the whole family!
Pedometers are available for purchase in the Health Education Center.
