Preventive health services describe the types of medical care that help to prevent disease or to detect disease early enough so that treatment is more likely to be successful. These services can include immunizations, laboratory tests, medical procedures, behavioral health interventions, or other types of screening methods.
Developing a prevention plan involves learning about preventive health services and discussing with your doctor about which preventive health services are most appropriate for you. As you begin to develop your personalized prevention plan, take a look at the following resources:
