South Sacramento Dermatology specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases related to the skin, hair and nails. This includes management of a variety of inflammatory skin diseases (ie. acne, psoriasis, eczema etc.) and many types of skin cancers.

Our Department consists of Board Certified Dermatologists, Dermatology Nurses and support staff with experience in handling problems related to dermatology. Our team approach will provide you with the best of care for all your dermatology concerns.

We are a Referral-only department.

Please remember that the Kaiser Health Plan provides coverage for the treatment of diseases of the skin, hair and nails. Unfortunately, it does not provide care for cosmetic concerns.

Items not covered are: cosmetic removal of moles, spider veins, collagen or Botox injections, chemical peels or dermabrasion, laser hair removal, laser resurfacing, treatment of "age spots" or "liver spots", removal of skin tags, counseling or assistance in make-up selection, or routine footcare ie. trimming of nails. Information for these and other Cosmetic Dermatology services can be found at our Cosmetic Services website.

Our department houses several different Phototherapy units. We have ready access to Moh's Surgery at the Elk Grove Facility. Appointments to the Acne Clinic are on a self-referral basis (call 688-2045).

Thank you for visiting our home page. Please check out the personal home pages of our physicians to learn more about your doctor. Also, you will find many helpful links to learn more about the fascinating field of dermatology.

An emergency medical condition is also "active labor," which means a labor when there is inadequate time for safe transfer to a Plan hospital (or designated hospital) before delivery or if a transfer poses a threat to the health of the member or unborn child.
