Open for the season and open to the public - Farmers Market in South San Francisco
On Tuesday, May 7, the farmers market at Kaiser Permanente South San Francisco Medical Center opens for the season. Find a variety of fresh fruit, vegetables and flowers for sale to inspire healthy eating. The market is visible from the road and is adjacent to the building. The market is open every Tuesday from 10 am - 2 pm, May 7 through October.

The West Wing Cast Reunites in Support of Walking
An all-star cast of The West Wing,had a reunion to film a humorous public service announcement to promote walking. They all generously donated their time. Actor Allison Janney does the voice-over for many of our Thrive messages and talks about how the country should create a “walking agenda.” The video is a collaboration between the comedy website Funny or Die and Kaiser Permanente's Every Body Walk! campaign. The message aims to get people up and walking — 30 minutes a day, five days a week — to improve overall health and meet adult physical activity recommendations. The West Wing cast is no stranger to walking, as the show is noted for creating the fast paced “walk-and-talk” format. Watch the two-minute video.
