Who are the wellness coaches?

Kaiser Permanente’s wellness coaches include health educators who are lifestyle change experts, with specific expertise in health promotion, prevention, and behavior change counseling. Coaches are trained in motivational interviewing, a technique proven to be effective for guiding behavior change. Coaches typically hold a Masters-level degree.

Through engagement, collaboration, and encouragement, coaches are able to build rapport and facilitate motivation toward healthier behaviors. Your coach will provide information and support based on your readiness to change.

Coaches will also help you match your needs and preferences with the best resources to support your success.

What languages do they speak?

Wellness coaches speak English and Spanish. Interpreters are available for all other languages.
