Background
I specialize in treating gynecological malignancies which include uterine, ovarian, fallopian tube, cervical, vulvar and vaginal cancers. While my primary focus is surgical, I also prescribe chemotherapy and work closely with radiation oncologists who provide radiation treatments. My goal is to individualize treatment for each patient to provide best outcomes in terms of cure and quality of life. Occasionally, I am also consulted on benign but complicated surgical procedures.
I was born and raised in Poland, and subsequently moved to French Canada (Montreal) where my family emigrated. I moved to the United States where I graduated from UC Berkeley majoring in Molecular Biology and French Literature, and went on to study medicine at UC Davis. I then completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Kaiser Permanente, San Francisco. After working as an attending in private practice in the Bay Area for 3 years, I decided to pursue my interest in treating gynecological cancers, and completed a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at Wayne State University / Karmanos Cancer Center in Detroit, Michigan. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2011. I speak Polish and French fluently, and have basic skills in Spanish.
