Professional

Background

I was born in New Haven, CT. I studied Art History at Vassar College and later pursued a medical degree at the University of Connecticut.

My career began in Obstetrics and Gynecology. I completed 2 years of training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. I recognized my interest in primary care and preventive medicine and switched to Family Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City. After graduation, I chose Kaiser Permanente for its focus on preventive medicine. I also appreciate the diversity of patients that I have seen here in the East Bay.

I strongly believe in developing a partnership with my patients. My approach is holistic and attempts to look at the patient in the context of his/her environment. My interests include preventive medicine and LGBT health. In addition to primary care, I work with the Department of Surgery in the Anal Dysplasia Clinic and with the multi-specialty Transgender Clinic.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking, biking, running, swimming, art and travel.

I look forward to a long career at Kaiser Permanente and being your physician.
