It is my pleasure and privilege to take care of your children. My goal is to deliver top quality pediatric care to your loved ones in a holistic manner - physically, mentally, socially, emotionally, and developmentally. I understand that each family and culture is different, and look forward to working with you to give you information and resources to help you make the best health care decisions. I believe in maximizing the potential of every child that walks through my door, and want to help families achieve that goal.
I graduated from MIT with a degree in Molecular Biology/Genetic Engineering, and went on to complete my Medical Degree at a joint program between Dartmouth Medical School and the Brown School of Medicine (graduated in 1997). I completed my Pediatrics Residency at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, and spent additional time training in East-West Medicine at UCLA. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2006.
I come to Kaiser Permanente from Los Angeles where I won a "Best Pediatrics Attending Teaching Award" in the Residency program that I taught at. I am also cited in the "Guide to America's Top Pediatricians" in the Consumer's Research Council of America.
I won Brown Medical School's Fleet Community Fellowship Award as well as the Kaiser Hicks Williams Community Service Award because of my work in underserved communities in Los Angeles as well as my work internationally.
My special medical interests include asthma, developmental pediatrics, East-West medicine, sports medicine, and international relief work. In addition to English, I am fluent in Spanish and have good speaking ability in Mandarin Chinese.
I am part of the clinical faculty of the Stanford Pediatric Residency program and supervise residents.

I am very lucky to work with a large group of wonderful pediatricians. In order to serve you better, we have formed smaller groups of Physicians and Medical Assistants with whom we work closely. If I am out of the office Drs Chiu, Collins, Kwan, MacMahon, Moff, and Shen will help take care of you.
