Background

I was born and raised in the Central Valley and graduated from Kerman High School. I received my bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of California at Irvine and my medical degree from New York Medical College. I was happy to return to sunny California where I did my internship at the University Medical Center in Fresno and my Ophthalmology training at UC Irvine.

In August of 2001, I joined the ophthalmology department at Kaiser Permanente in Fresno. I love being back in the valley and enjoy my practice immensely. I have a special medical interest in anterior segment surgery and general ophthalmology, and am a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

I am committed to providing you with the highest quality eye care, delivered with a personal touch. I want my patients to receive the same excellent service and care that I would expect for my own family. I look forward to being your ophthalmologist.

Roles and Responsibilities

This site is designed to provide you with the information you need to understand your visual health and learn more about many common eye disorders. There are a number of links to clinical information, as well as a link to the web sites of other members of our department. You can use this site to refill prescriptions, or request an appointment with your personal physician. By registering at kp.org, you can even e-mail me with non-urgent questions and check laboratory results.

I especially want to point out the link called "Awards and Recognition." There you will find many of the reasons I am proud to be a doctor at Kaiser Permanente. For these very same reasons, I hope you feel confident about the health care we provide for you.

Thank you for visiting My Doctor Online page. I hope you find this web site useful, and I appreciate any feedback you can provide to make this site the best it can be. Please feel free to send me an e-mail with any suggestions you might have.

Suggestions to make your

clinic visit more helpful...

-Feel free to bring a family member or a friend to the clinic visit with you. I do not mind and sometimes they can help you recall important information.

-If you wear glasses for distance and/or reading, please bring them with you for your appointment.

-Please bring a written list of all the eye drops you take regularly.

-If you do not understand any instructions I might give you, please ask me to make them clearer, or to write them down for you.

-My staff and I make every effort to respect your time by trying to stay on schedule. Sometimes, despite all efforts, we will run behind. You can help us stay on schedule by arriving a few minutes before your appointment time. Thank you!
