Having grown up in Freehold, New Jersey I spent much of my childhood either on the soccer field or at the Jersey Shore with family and friends. I received my undergraduate degree at Drew University where I majored in biology and played varsity soccer for the Drew Rangers. Following completion of my undergraduate training I obtained my medical degree at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
In 2010 I moved to California to pursue post graduate surgical training at the Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Bay Area Foot and Ankle Residency Program. During my training I had comprehensive training in forefoot, rearfoot and ankle surgery with emphasis on trauma, reconstruction, sports medicine, wound care and diabetic limb salvage.
Following my residency training I was fortunate enough to join Kaiser Permanente in Redwood City. I chose a career at Kaiser Permanente because I wanted to join a well integrated multidisciplinary health care system that was capable of providing patients with efficient and quality care. The Kaiser Permanente health care model also affords me the opportunity to make decisions based on the best interests of my patients without financial influences.
When outside of my work environment I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy staying active by running, snowboarding, and playing soccer. Having sustained several foot and ankle injuries throughout my soccer career I have a great appreciation for the frustration associated with these injuries and the importance of the lower extremities in our daily lives.
As a physician my goal is to provide effective treatment and educate patients by providing them with a better understanding of their symptoms. I believe each patient should have the opportunity to explore both non surgical and surgical treatment options so that they may make an informed decision about their care.
