As a surgeon, I believe in being a good listener, serving with joy and humility, and providing the best possible care I can in collaboration with my patients, support staff, and colleagues. I value my relationship with you. And I know that maintaining a good relationship means being able to communicate with each other. My colleagues and I have developed My Doctor Online so that we can stay in touch more easily.

I am a Bay Area native and grew up in Saratoga, CA.
My outside interests include working with various nonprofit organizations, community outreach, my church, and volunteering with medical missions both locally and internationally. My interest in missions has allowed me the opportunity to travel all over the world including Ecuador, China, Pakistan, and Ethiopia. For fun, I like to delve in rubber stamping/card making, scrapbooking, and paddling with my dragon boat racing team. In addition, I spend time as a volunteer Primary Care Physician at the CityTeam homeless shelter in San Jose as part of the Silicon Valley Christian Health Alliance. Because of my interest in Oncology, I also co-founded the Asian American Cancer Support Network with May Bakken.
In October 2009, I traveled to a remote, rural part of Ethiopia with a medical missions team from the Bay Area. In 8 days, we were able to provide primary health care for over 1100 children and help perform badly needed surgeries in a rural hospital. It was a very transformational experience for me.
