Background

I'm a California native and was born and raised in southern California.  I attended UC Berkeley for my undergraduate education and became a fan of the Bay Area ever since.  After completing my studies at Berkeley, I moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for medical school at the University of Pittsburgh.  I spent my internship year at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.  After 5 years in Pennsylvania, I was happy to move back to the Bay Area to complete my residency training at UC San Francisco.

In 2006, I chose to join Kaiser Permanente.  I am very excited to be a part of the Kaiser Permanente system and to provide the best quality health care I can to my patients.

I chose the field of obstetrics and gynecology because of the special role I can play in helping women during their reproductive years and beyond. I see myself as an educator and an advocate. Nothing would please me more than answering your questions so I can help you make the best choices for yourself. I have a special interest in laparoscopic surgery, office-based procedures and family planning.
