I came to California for medical school at UCSF and fell in love with the San Francisco Bay area. My childhood in Virginia and subsequent college years in Boston were wonderful experiences, but only when I moved to California, did I feel like I was home. I have crisscrossed the United States, from New York City to North Carolina and then to San Diego, only to conclude that I am meant to live in Northern California.
Medicine seems to be in my genes as my father is a retired anesthesiologist and my mother is a family practice physician. Throughout my training, I was drawn to patients with dermatological conditions as I grew up with atopic dermatitis and understand the difficulties of living with a skin disease.
As your doctor, I would like us to work as a team to maximize your health and quality of life. I am always happy to answer any questions and to be a partner in your goals of leading a healthy, happy life, and most importantly, to thrive.
