Background

Hi, and welcome to my website.

I am a Pediatric Dermatologist based at the Oakland Medical Center. I was raised in Dallas, Texas and went to Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

My first residency was in Pediatrics at Oakland Children’s Hospital. It was during this residency that I developed a strong interest in the diagnosis and treatment of the many dermatologic conditions encountered in children. Following my Pediatric residency, I worked in the Melanoma Clinic at UCSF and then completed a Dermatology Residency at the University of California in San Francisco. I am trained in General Dermatology but have an expertise in Pediatric Dermatology. One of my special interests is vascular birthmarks - infantile hemangiomas and congenital vascular malformations. I perform Laser treatments on some of these lesions in the office and operating room at Fremont Kaiser.

I have been working at Kaiser since 1994. My clinic is in the Fabiola Building, where I see adults and children. However, once a week, I have a Dermatology clinic in the Pediatric Department in the Mosswood building. I am board certified in both Pediatrics and Dermatology. I am also associated with the Dermatology Department at UCSF. Occasionally I teach the Dermatology residents in the Pediatric Dermatology Clinic of San Francisco General Hospital.
