Background
Welcome to my practice! I am a board-certified internist, treating adults of all ages for both short-term and ongoing health issues.
My training and priorities focus on evidence-based medicine. I work to inform my patients about the causes and consequences of their health conditions, and review the risks and benefits of treatment options. I incorporate the latest research into my recommendations for you.
I am proud to practice medicine at Kaiser Permanente because of my interest in health care quality improvement and policy. The system here, including the electronic medical record, is truly leading-edge. I encourage my patients to take advantage of Kaiser Permanente’s unparalleled health education resources and I help them navigate our team-based system. Depending on your needs, you might work with some of my team members, including advice nurses, medical assistants, pharmacists, health coaches, and physician colleagues.
Professionally, I lead a curriculum in leadership and health policy for medical students at the University of California, San Francisco, and I am active in the education and policy programs of the American College of Physicians, the professional society for internists.
Personally, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, and especially travel, movies, and hiking.
I am available in my office on most Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Whether you are here for a physical or a course of treatment for an ongoing health concern, I look forward to working with you.
