I joined the Department of Surgery at Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara in 1992.
I graduated from Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. I completed my internship and residency training at the Stanford University Hospital. Following my training, I joined the faculty of the Stanford University Department of Surgery until 1989. I then went on to complete Fellowship training in thoracic surgery at the University of Toronto in Ontario (Toronto General Hospital).
The Surgery Department of Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara is an affiliated institution of the Stanford University School of Medicine and its Surgical Residency Program. I am a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at the Stanford University School of Medicine.
