Oakland
Welcome to the Oakland Genetics Department!
The Oakland Genetics Department is one of five sub-Regional Genetics departments that comprise the Northern California Regional Genetics Program. The Oakland Genetics Department provides comprehensive medical genetic services to KP Health Plan members residing in the East Bay. We specialize in counseling, diagnosis and management of genetically-influenced conditions. Our clinical services include prenatal counseling and diagnosis, neonatal genetics consultation services, pediatric and adult genetic counseling and evaluation, hereditary cancer risk evaluation, and genetic screening.
We also coordinate Multispecialty Clinics at the Oakland facility. These clinics provide coordinated and ongoing care for Northern California Health Plan members for the following common genetic conditions: craniofacial problems such as cleft lip and palate, spina bifida, metabolic disorders including pediatric lipid/cholesterol disorders, skeletal disorders such as dwarfing conditions, neurofibromatosis, and neurological problems with a genetic cause.
We look forward to serving you and your family in our clinic.
