The San Francisco Genetics Department is one of five sub-Regional Genetics departments that comprise the Northern California Regional Genetics Program.
The San Francisco Genetics Department provides comprehensive medical genetic services to KP Health Plan members from Daly City to Sonoma County. Our main office is located in San Francisco. We also provide limited on-site services in Daly City, Petaluma, San Rafael, and Santa Rosa.

We specialize in counseling, diagnosis and management of genetically-influenced conditions. Our clinical services include prenatal counseling and diagnosis, neonatal genetics consultation services, pediatric and adult genetic counseling and evaluation, hereditary cancer risk evaluation, and genetic screening.

DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS TO GEARY CAMPUS:
From the East Bay: Take Highway 80 West to the Bay Bridge towards San Francisco, stay in the right lanes while exiting the bridge (not the far right lane which exits at Fremont Street). Exit at 9th Street/Civic Center, stay in the right lane. Veer right onto Larkin Street. Turn left onto Geary Blvd. Continue on Geary past Divisadero Street. Kaiser buildings 2238 Geary and 2350 Geary will be on your right just past Divisadero Street.
From the South Bay taking Hwy 101N: Take Highway 101 North to San Francisco towards the Golden Gate Bridge. Exit at Mission Street, stay in right lane and veer left onto Van Ness Avenue. Turn left onto Geary Blvd. Continue on Geary past Divisadero Street. Kaiser buildings 2238 Geary and 2350 Geary will be on your right just past Divisadero Street.
From the South Bay taking Hwy 280N: Take Highway 280 North to San Francisco towards 19th Avenue. Exit at 19th Avenue. Turn right onto Geary Blvd. Continue on Geary staying the right lane past the numbered streets and towards Masonic. Turn left onto Presidio, then right onto Post, then right onto Divisadero, then right onto Geary. Kaiser buildings 2238 Geary and 2350 Geary will be on your right just past Divisadero Street.
From the North Bay: Take Highway 101 South to the Golden Gate Bridge, stay in the right lane while exiting the bridge. Exit at Lombard Street (2nd exit after the bridge). Turn right onto Divisadero Street. Turn right onto Geary Blvd. Kaiser buildings 2238 Geary and 2350 Geary will be on your right just past Divisadero Street.
Daly City/South San Francisco
Directions:
From North or South via Highway 101: Take the Highway 380 interchange to El Camino Real North. Follow El Camino Real to the medical facility on the right.
From South via Interstate 280: Take the Westborough Blvd exit. Follow Westborough Blvd East and turn left onto El Camino Real and proceed to the medical facility on the right.
From North via Interstate 280: Take the Hickey Blvd exit. Turn left and follow Hickey Blvd and turn right onto El Camino Real. Proceed to the medical facility on the left.
San Rafael 99 Monetcillo Road
Directions:
Take the Freitas Parkway exit off Highway 101, coming from the south (San Francisco) turn left, and coming from the north (Santa Rosa) turn right. Left on Las Gallinas to stop sign. Right on Nova Albion Way. Take Nova Albion two blocks to Montecillo. The medical center is on the left side of Montecillo.
Santa Rosa 401 Bicentennial Way
Directions:
Driving: The medical offices are located on the corner of Bicentennial Way and Mendocino Avenue. From Petaluma, take Highway 101 north and exit and Bicentennial Way. From Healdsburg, take Highway 101 south and exit at Mendocino/Hopper Avenue. Go left over the overpass to Mendocino Avenue and turn right onto Bicentennial Way.
Public Transportation: Santa Rosa Transit provides regular scheduled bus service, including regular bus service for the handicapped, to the medical offices. Call Santa Rosa Transit (SRT) at (707) 528-5306, for specific route information and bus schedules.
