The San Jose Genetics Department is one of five sub-Regional Genetics departments that comprise the Northern California Regional Genetics Program.
The San Jose Genetics Department provides comprehensive medical genetic services to KP Health Plan members residing in the South Bay area. We cover the following Kaiser Permanente Medical Centers: Redwood City, Mountain View, Santa Clara, Campbell, San Jose, Gilroy, Milpitas, and Fremont.
We specialize in counseling, diagnosis and management of genetically-influenced conditions. Our clinical services include prenatal counseling and diagnosis, neonatal genetics consultation services, pediatric and adult genetic counseling and evaluation, hereditary cancer risk evaluation, and genetic screening.
