Permanente Physicians Welcome Patients to New Kaiser Permanente Lutherville-Timonium Medical Center

The new, state-of-the-art Kaiser Permanente Lutherville-Timonium Medical Center began welcoming patients on Jan. 31, 2022, expanding access to Kaiser Permanente's nationally-recognized care in northern Baltimore County.

"Expanding care to this state-of-the art facility enables us to provide an unparalleled level of service across dozens of specialties and perform advanced procedures that improve the lives of our patients."

Patients can access comprehensive care and a range of world-class physicians in more than 30 medical specialties, including cardiology, dermatology, neurology, obstetrics,gynecology and more. The new medical center will also offer 24-hour Advanced Urgent Care with clinical observation units, 24-hour radiology and laboratory services, and extended weekday and weekend pharmacy hours.

The 222,000 square foot facility is the largest Kaiser Permanente medical center in Baltimore County, and Kaiser Permanente's sixth comprehensive care center in the Mid-Atlantic. The facility has an ambulatory surgery center that’s opening with three operating rooms, 100 exam rooms, oncology services, and 12 procedure rooms for everything from plastic surgery to orthopedic procedures. Patients will also benefit from a variety of advanced surgical procedures with top-rated surgeons, including total hip replacement, total knee replacement, appendectomy, and thyroidectomy as well as same-day home recovery following several types of surgeries. More than 250 staff members and 100 physicians will care for patients at the Lutherville-Timonium Medical Center. The facility is expected to have more than 175,000 patient visits per year.

"We are thrilled to expand our practice so that those who live or work near northern Baltimore County will now have even easier access to our outstanding Permanente Medicine physicians."

The Lutherville-Timonium Medical Center includes the latest technology allowing seamless patient handoffs between care departments as well as virtual consultation with physicians in specialties located throughout the region.

In addition to getting care in person, patients can connect with their physicians virtually in many convenient ways, including through telephone, video appointments and secure messaging.

Patients have access to a 7-story parking garage with more than 20 electric car charging stations and reserved parking for expectant mothers. The Lutherville-Timonium Medical Center at 2391 Greenspring Dr., Lutherville-Timonium, MD 21093 is conveniently located near bus transit and the Light Rail station.
