Profile

Prior to Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group, I had been working at a small private practice for almost 4 years.

I chose to join the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group to be part of a larger organization where my time can be more devoted to patient care.  I was impressed by the collegial environment and integrative care that Kaiser Permanente provides.

Aside from general gastroenterology and hepatology, my interests include colorectal cancer prevention, the work-up and management of pancreatic cysts, pancreatic disorders, and endoscopic ultrasound.

My philosophy of care focuses on patient education, communication, and prevention.

What My Patients Say

I am pleased to say my visit with Dr. Tignor was pleasant and warm. She explained everything step-by-step to me on the procedure that I was having done. I was at ease and felt that I was in good care. She always kept me informed by following up with me by phone or email. - SYM

I have only met with Dr. Tignor once prior to my procedure; yet I feel that I am in very capable hands. Dr. Tignor's manner, warmth and professionalism were evident [throughout] the entire meeting, [and she reassured] me that my worst fears were not necessarily factual. - LN
