I joined the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group in 2009 after fellowship training because I wanted to be a part of a state-of-the-art, integrative medical system.

My interest in medicine began when I was young after watching the Emergency 51 TV series and subsequently volunteering in several New York City emergency rooms.

I like being a physician because I have the opportunity to make a difference and positively impact someone’s life.

It is important that my patients know that I have a degree in economics and art history from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Prior to medical school, I spent several years involved in conducting drug trials and clinical cancer research.

I have a special clinical interest in general gastroenterology and especially colon cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease, and Barrett’s esophagus. In additional to performing upper endoscopy and colonoscopy, I also perform small bowel video capsule endoscopy as well as radiofrequency ablation (RFA) also known as Barrx for Barrett's esophagus.
