Profile

Becoming a Permanente physician was an easy decision for me.  Working in partnership with like-minded high quality physicians, who are patient-care focused was one of the deciding factors. Having access to our state-of-the-art electronic medical record system, was an opportunity too good to pass up.  My colleagues and I are connected to each other and our patients through this ground-breaking system.  I believe it helps us make informed decisions, which result in the kind of quality health care that enables our patients to thrive.

What My Patients Say

My direct inguinal hernia was repaired laparoscopically with mesh at the Kaiser Permanente facility in Kensington, MD. The procedure was quick (four hours from arrival to departure) and recovery was smooth, with no bruising and no need for narcotics. Dr. Ospina did an excellent job of explaining the condition, answering my questions, conducting the procedure, annotating the photos I requested, and following up. Surgery is intimidating, but I was in good hands and am pleased with the outcome. - BM

Dr. Ospina was a breath of fresh air. She is totally competent, kind and provides the support needed for a good recovery. I was most grateful to have her for my surgery. - RS

I was lucky to find Dr. Ospina. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016, and Dr. Ospina was my breast surgeon. She is really nice to talk to and she treats you as a person, not as a medical condition. She is also very positive. She is an excellent doctor. - RV
