I joined Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group in 1995.

I practice general otolaryngology with a special clinical interest in the surgical management of thyroid and parathyroid diseases.

One of the great aspects of practicing with Kaiser Permanente is the close relationship I have developed with my partners. Our electronic medical record allows seamless sharing of information between physicians. This improves the care we deliver to our patients.

Dr. Mark Terris performed my thyroid surgery a few weeks ago. He is experienced, knowledgeable, patient, kind and has excellent bedside manners. He is the best. - DM

It has been over a year now since I was diagnosed with an enlarged thyroid gland. I was desperate and feared it was cancer. The day I met Dr. Terris after the biopsy, he was like a ray of sunshine and he gave me hope of life. During all the time that I was in his care until the end of my operation, he showed me empathy and the kindness of his heart. The operation was a complete success and it turned out to be cancer. He continued to give me hope that everything will be fine. Now, after a year .... the post-processing of the I-131 monitoring shows "No scintigraphic evidence of metastatic disease." He gave me the chance to live to see my two young sons grow up. - MB
