Profile

My specialty is addiction medicine, which is a division of behavioral health. I see patients individually to determine the best course of treatment. Some require inpatient admission for detoxification and rehabilitation, while others are referred to one of our outpatient chemical dependency groups.

There are some exciting new medications being used within the field of addiction medicine. These include anti-craving drugs for both alcohol and drug dependence.

I look forward to working with you to make your experience at Kaiser Permanente a positive one.

What My Patients Say

Love my relationship with Dr. Richardson. He is a great listener, and follows up on email messages very quickly. Favorite doctor by far. - SB

The best doctor ever. I lost my insurance after seeing Dr. Richardson for three years. I went out of my way to get Kaiser Permanente back just for Dr. Richardson this past month. He is understanding and does what he can to help! It's nice not being judged for who you were in the past and to have someone who says you're such a great patient and they know they can always count on you doing the right thing. I will see you soon Dr. Richardson. - KO

The first two comments were what brought me to Dr. Richardson — it was well worth the hour drive to see him! Like the others said, Dr. Richardson is unique in that he treats his patients with true care and concern, and sees you for you — no judgments! I wish more doctors these days were like him. HIGHLY recommend! - SL
