Profile

I chose to practice with the Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group because it has created the perfect environment to provide compassionate, affordable, technologically impacted health care in the present and future health care environments. This includes allowing the physician and the patient to have a more stream-lined mode of communication that will enrich the doctor-patient relationship.

My interests include minimally invasive surgical procedures.

My philosophy is to be engaging, inspirational, and caring to everyone I have the opportunity to meet.

What My Patients Say

Very personable; he called on a Sunday to see how I was doing. Haven't seen a doctor this good in years. Before surgery he explained everything and greeted my wife. - RM

The experience was wonderful if you can say that about an operation. Dr. Zulu was more than wonderful. Very warm and personable. Perfect bedside manner. I had minimum pain after surgery and small incisions. I will recommend Dr. Zulu. He's a great physician. - GS

Dr. Zulu is the most pleasant doctor. He has great bedside manner. He is easy to talk to. Great personality. - JP

I saw Dr. Zulu for a second opinion on gallbladder surgery. He was very personable. He made me feel very comfortable like we had known each other for years. He explained the procedure to me and also went over my sonogram he pulled up on the computer. The day of the surgery he came to my room and I felt like he was greeting an old friend. While they were wheeling me into the OR he was waiting in the hallway for me and entered the room by my side. Never had I felt so at ease with a surgery in the past. I would highly recommend him to all of my family and friends. Thank you Dr. Zulu! - VM

I had two major surgeries with Dr. Zulu a few months ago. He became almost like a family member in no time right after my first meeting with him. He is very approachable and listens to all our concerns without any rush. My second surgery was almost a nine-hour surgery .... After the surgery, he came to see me with the same pleasant smile that I saw in the morning. It amazed my whole family. Dr. Zulu is an excellent surgeon, and I am very lucky to have had my surgeries with him. - CK

This doctor truly cares! Finding out you need surgery to possibly save your life is scary. Dr. Zulu took away most of my fear. He helped ease my fears by listening to me and answering ALL of my questions, no matter how long it took. He made sure I had a say in my care. We even prayed together before surgery. I actually had three procedures done. I ended up being admitted to the hospital late at night after the first one. He was there at 7 AM with a big smile. He was back to check on me at 11 PM that night with the same big smile. He made my little girl feel at ease while mom was in the hospital. He even checked out her report card and gave her some heartfelt words of encouragement. When he called me at home to check on me, I was truly surprised. I thought something was wrong. But no, he was actually taking the time to see if I was OK. Dr. Zulu treated me like family. I don’t know if he’ll ever read this but, I’m ever thankful that our paths crossed. The world needs more doctors like him. - GB

Thank you Dr. Z for your ministry and your kindness …. You eased [my wife's] anxiety and calmed her fear. Your living is not in vain, for up the road is eternal gain. Hold up the Light. Thanks again. - JW

Thanks Dr. Zulu, you're the real MVP and a true asset to Kaiser Permanente South Baltimore. - LS
