Find sincere encouragement and support, gain a better understanding of your condition, and develop action plans to help in your recovery. All classes and support groups are open to the community.


Breast Cancer Care Coordinator

Our Breast Care coordinator serves as a patient advocate and educator for members diagnosed with breast cancer. She will help you navigate your care, and provide you with an overview of treatment options as well as referrals to support services, including prosthesis providers, support groups, and more. Individual appointments are encouraged. Open toKaiser Permanente members only.

Breast Cancer Support Group

Explore issues around the diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer in a comfortable setting. This group is for women who are undergoing, or who have completed, breast cancer treatment. Facilitated by the Breast Care.  Open to the community.   
Location: Union City Medical Offices
Dates/Time: Drop in Union City; every other Wednesday, 3-5 pm

Look Good, Feel Better

If you are undergoing cancer treatment, looking better on the outside can help you feel better on the inside.
Take this opportunity to meet trained cosmetologists and get tips on everything from skin care and makeup
to stylish wigs and scarves. Open to the community. Available in Spanish and Chinese dialects.

Cancer Support Group

This weekly support group for people offers emotional support and helpful information on how to manage the side effects of treatment. Open to the community.

The Cancer Support Community

(formerly The Wellness Community)This community-based organization provides support for cancer patients and their families. Services include
 educational workshops, exercise instruction, relaxation sessions, support groups, and social events. Open to

Prostate Cancer Lecture

Are you concerned about prostate cancer?  Attend this lecture, led by a Kaiser Permanente urologist, to learn about PSA testing, treatment and management options, and lifestyle and co-morbidity factors associated with prostate cancer.  Good health practices, such as healthy eating, physical activity, and preventive screenings, will also be discussed.  Open to the community.

Living with HIV/AIDS Support Group

If This group offers supportive, confidential, and safe environment to discuss issues that are important to you.  Share your experience, talk about stigma, express anxieties and concerns, support one another, and develop strategies to cope and live a healthy, happy life. Members only.
