Welcome to our new Cancer Care site!

Oct 01, 2012

by Dr. Minggui Pan and Dr. Anita Lee

Our original Comprehensive Cancer Care web site launched back in 2009, with the goal of being a valuable resource and a one stop shop for our patients and their friends and families to find information about cancer care at Kaiser Permanente. We’ve received lots of positive feedback and appreciation from our members about the site over the years, and we have over sixty thousand hits on the site every month!

But we know we can do more.

We want this site to be the portal not only to your cancer care, but to all your care. Over the past two years, we’ve been hard at work developing our new Regional Cancer site. You’ll find quick access to the vast array of clinical information Kaiser Permanente offers, as well as personalized resources through My Doctor Online. Email your primary care doctor, view most lab results, schedule routine appointments, refill prescriptions, and more. You can even get to know your doctor and specialists better by reading about their backgrounds, education, awards, publications, and special interests.

And as on our current web site, you'll find information about:

  • Our multidisciplinary approach to cancer care
Cancer diagnosis and treatment options, including what you can do to minimize side effects
  • Subspecialty services such as medical imaging, tissue diagnosis, surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy
  • Support resources to help you manage your nutrition, finances, emotions, and more
  • Clinical trials available for a wide range of cancers
    Survivorship support and resources

We’ll keep you posted on our progress and hope you’ll continue to follow our blog for regular updates.
