Hello, and welcome to my home page! I hope that you will make use of the multiple tools on this site to help guide you in your child’s health and development.

I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2005, and love practicing in a place where I can offer high quality, integrated patient care. I completed my pediatric training at UCSF, after which I worked for 3 years as a Pediatric Hospitalist and Clinical Instructor at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. I found that I missed developing long-term relationships with patients and families, and therefore chose outpatient pediatric clinical practice when I moved back to San Francisco.

I am a pediatrician because I love caring for children. I view my role as your guide and advocate: whether it is navigating the advice you might receive from friends and families on topics as wide ranging as sleep and discipline, to caring for your child during an illness, you should look to me as a resource. Many of my patients enjoy accessing me through email, and I will also help direct you to other resources available to you, such as health educators and online tools, all of which will help us in keep your children healthy.

As a former psychology major, I am particularly interested in issues around early childhood behavior and development. As a parent of twins, I particularly enjoy caring for families of multiples and their unique needs.

Current and past projects include an educational program to teach families about the importance of timely vaccination, and working on measures to improve asthma care for our patients.

Roles and Responsibilities

I am a General Pediatrician, and that means that my practice is completely outpatient (clinic only, no hospital duty). I see children from birth through 18 years of age.

I am an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at UCSF, and supervise pediatricians-in-training in the Residents’ Continuity Clinic at Kaiser Permanente. I also occasionally teach medical students and residents in my general practice. I also serve administrative roles as module lead and Pediatric outpatient quality designee.

My Colleagues

We have a great group of pediatric providers here in San Francisco and we all work together. I belong to the 6th floor Chinese Module and work most closely with Dr. Lee, Dr. Kota, Dr. Goodman, Dr. Newell, Dr. Lowe, Dr. Woo and Dr. Chan. They are all keeping an eye on my messages when I am away from the office and will answer any urgent messages from you. Should you need to come in for a visit when I am not here we will usually have you see one of them.
