I studied biology at UCLA, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kapp. My junior year was spent at the University of Sussex in England. In 1989, I completed medical school at the University of California, San Francisco, where I was a Regent's Scholar. I returned to UCLA for my internship, residency, and cardiology fellowship. After completing cardiology training, I remained at UCLA as a Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar to do research on congestive heart failure. I joined Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara in 1996

My Staff

The Cardiology staff, which includes ECG and echocardiography, are key members of our heart team and will go above a beyond to make your appointment convenient, more comfortable, and less stressful (you may leave with a cup of tea). They designed our "Your heart is in our hands" logo, which beautifully expresses their approach to your health.

My Colleagues

There are times that I am away from clinic, but because our medical center specializes in heart care, I am fortunate to have wonderful partners who are exceptionally well-trained cardiologists. They all are a great resource for my patients when I am unable to be in clinic.
