About Maxillofacial Surgery:

Maxillofacial Surgery is a recognized specialty encompassing the surgical treatment of diseases, injuries and deformities which involve the function and esthetic aspects of the head, face, mouth, teeth, gums, jaws and neck. At Kaiser Permanente Oakland our division falls under the Head and Neck Surgery department. For more information about my specialty please visit the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons website.

About Me:

I was born in Pennsylvania, but lived my childhood in the Middle East. However, I've called Northern California my home for most of my adult life. In 2009, my family and I moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada for a year-long fellowship. It was a great change of weather and great experience both professionally and for us as a family, but we are all glad to be back in the bay area.
In my free time, I love spending time with my wife and 4 kids. I also like hiking, fishing, and landscape photography.

Why Kaiser Permanente Oakland:

Working at Kaiser Permanente allows me to focus on caring for my patients and not be distracted by the business aspect of running a private practice. We have an outstanding non-competitive peer environment and my two partners are the best that one could ask for. The Oakland Medical Center serves as a regional center for many of the surgical specialties and there is a wealth of knowledge and talent here.
Interaction with Head and Neck Surgery, Plastic Surgery, General Surgery, Anesthesia, Genetics and many of the other specialties of medicine is always readily accessible. Colleagues are always willing to share their knowledge and help with their surgical expertise when asked. You have made a great choice by selecting Kaiser Permanente as it stands to be a great model for reforming our health care system.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my website. If I can be of any assistance, please feel free to contact me.
