Professional

Background

I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2014. I was excited to become part of the collaborative approach to patient care that Kaiser Permanente has embraced. Oakland Medical Center and Richmond Medical Center both provide a richly diverse patient population to serve, which was an ideal fit for me.

After finishing medical school and graduate school at Stanford, I chose to become a radiologist – a physician that uses advanced imaging tools to diagnose and treat disease. I completed a diagnostic radiology residency followed by a fellowship in interventional radiology, both at UCSF.

Interventional radiology is a rapidly changing and dynamic specialty that involves minimally invasive image-guided procedures. Such procedures have not only replaced more traditional and invasive surgical procedures, but have resulted in new highly effective treatments of many types of diseases – from cancer to vascular disease, etc. We work closely with specialists from nearly all fields to care for patients. My specific interests include interventional oncology and liver disease, but I strive for excellent thoughtful care no matter what procedure I am asked to do.

My family and I live in San Francisco, which I have happily called home for nearly 15 years now. My hobbies include guitar and soccer, among others.
