Professional

Background

I completed my masters degree and medical school training at the UC Berkeley/UC San Francisco Joint Medical Program in 1993, and I did my OB/GYN residency training at Kaiser San Francisco from 1993-1997. Social responsibility, public health and health care access have been a central influence to my practice choices. Since completing my training, I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to practice general OB/GYN in several interesting practice settings, including as a faculty member at the Tacoma Family Medicine Residency Program and as medical staff on the Navajo and Hopi reservation through Indian Health Service.

Roles and Responsibilities

In addition to providing general OB/GYN care for my patients in out clinic and in the hospital on labor and delivery, I have focused additional training on minimally invasive gynecologic surgery including office procedures such as office hysteroscopy as well as operative procedures such as laparoscopic  hysterectomy. I also serve as the quality assurance liaison for our department.
