I am a northern California native and a Nurse Case Manager for the Craniofacial and Metabolic Teams here at Kaiser Permanente in Oakland. I started working for Kaiser back in 2008. My nursing experience includes NICU, PICU, ER, Pediatric Subspecialty Clinics, and Pediatric Cardiology. I am passionate about my job (as are the rest of my teams) and will do my best to advocate for every patient.

As a member of the Craniofacial Team, my main job is to coordinate the care of infants, children, and adults with Craniofacial abnormalities. I serve as a liaison for the patients and their families to the team of specialists and community professionals that help to serve them. Some examples of diagnoses of patients seen in our clinic include cleft lip and/or palate, craniosynostosis, and any genetic syndrome that can lead to problems in the head or face that should be monitored or treated by our extensive team.

In the Metabolic Program, I case manage for some patients, help with metabolic testing, teach about home testing, check the development of children in clinic, and help the team provide care for their patients.

As for my education, I did my undergraduate studies at UCLA and my graduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania with a focus on Pediatric Critical Care. I feel that my current position is a good way to blend all of my nursing experience into one tidy package. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, crafting, being outdoors, and spending time with my family.
