A Neurology practice includes diagnosis of many long term conditions with imperfect treatment.  Even those with effective treatment can worsen over time.  With cures being elusive, it is very important that a person bring a “can-do” attitude and a willingness to stick with exercise and lifestyle changes to maximize their abilities over time.  I believe strongly in patient education, so an individual can take responsibility for his or her condition and maintain independence.  Often the things you do each day can make as big or bigger difference in your long tem function.

My Colleagues

There are 10 neurologists in our group which allows our group to offer special expertise in a variety of conditions.  Some have special interests and expertise in movement disorders, epilepsy, dementia, headache or stroke.  Our department also has special programs in dementia and headache.  Within Kaiser Permanente but not in the neurology department there are also programs that specialize in chronic pain and spine disorders.
