Background

I am originally from California, having grown up in San Diego. I spent my college years at the University of California, San Diego, before venturing eastward to attend medical school in Virginia. While I enjoyed my four years in Virginia, I always longed to come back to California. Fortunately, after graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine in 2000, I moved back to Los Angeles where I completed residency in Neurology at the University of Southern California (USC) in 2004. While at USC, I was fortunate to work with a Neuro-Oncologist, Dr. Marc Chamberlain, who sufficiently inspired me to pursue that field as a career. I then spent one year of fellowship in Neuro-Oncology at the University of California, Los Angeles, followed by an additional year of fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. I also received certification as a diplomat from the American Board of Psychology and Neurology in 2006.
Presently, I am enjoying my time at Kaiser Permanente Redwood City, and am excited to work with my colleagues in making this a Neuro-Oncology center of expertise . Treatment of cancer in the brain and/or spine is a team effort, and our goal is to provide you with the best care possible. I work closely with my colleagues in Neurosurgery and Medical Oncology, and I cannot imagine a better group of people with which to work.
