Professional

Background

Thank you for visiting my page!

I am originally from the East coast and completed my medical school and internal medicine residency in New York City.  I enjoyed taking care of a diverse patient population with a wide spectrum of disease in an amazing city.  Following my medical training, I decided to pursue a masters degree in public health.  Formal public health training provided me with a better understanding of the barriers in achieving access to health care, both on a national and global level.  With a strong foundation in statistics and epidemiology, I have also enjoyed actively participating in clinical research.

My true passion was always studying the heart and taking care of patients.  After a year in Baltimore, I ventured out to San Francisco to pursue my cardiology fellowship training, fell in love with the Bay Area, and have decided to stay out here long-term!

I enjoy all aspects of cardiology, but have a particular interest in the management of heart rhythm disturbances and cardiac imaging, especially echocardiography (ultrasound) and computed tomography (CT).  I also maintain a strong interest in global health, with recent trips to Haiti managing a peripartum cardiovascular clinic and to Southeast Asia, conducting research in secondhand smoking exposure.

I am thrilled to be a part of the Kaiser Permanente family.  I look forward to working with you to keep you in good health so that you can focus on everything else that is so wonderful in life!
