I am an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in spinal disorders. I am originally from Michigan. I grew up participating in sports including soccer, basketball, and baseball. I went on to major in Mechanical Engineering and complete my pre-medical courses at the University of Michigan. I returned there for medical school where I developed my interest in the field of orthopaedic surgery. I then moved to Connecticut, where I would complete my Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. At Yale, I was exposed to wonderful mentors in Spine Surgery who took great care to teach the necessary knowledge and skills needed to become a spine surgeon.
I pursued fellowship training at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL where I gained extensive experience in a wide range of surgical spinal conditions in children, adolescents, and adults. At Rush, I had the benefit of being surrounded by many leaders in the field of spine surgery. The program exposes fellows to the full gamut of spine surgery including techniques related to minimally invasive spine surgery and spinal reconstructive surgery.
I chose to join Kaiser Permanente because I believe in our mission as a health system to put the patient first and have each member thrive. My goal is to assess and educate you on your condition and your treatment options. I aim to work with you through the decision making process. I am honored to work with a dedicated support staff as well as an especially skilled and thoughtful group of spine surgeons, who unselfishly share their opinions and collaborate in the management of your care. As a team, we aim to deliver outstanding service.
I am grateful to have a wonderful family who support me in dedicating the necessary time and energy to my profession.
