A little bit about me: I’m originally from San Francisco, California but have spent time in both Southern California and New England during my education. When I’m not working, my hobbies include running, playing soccer, and enjoying as much of the outdoors as possible. My family and colleagues know that I also enjoy my job thoroughly.
I work almost exclusively with hospitalized patients – taking care of patients while they are in the hospital and ensuring they continue to improve once they are discharged. I enjoy the opportunity to use my Spanish language skills whenever possible.
Some principles which guide me include ensuring communication with patients and families, offering excellent care 24 hours a day, and shared decision making. We are all part of the same team – patients, families, nurses, doctors and everyone else (your team is much bigger than you realize!). Our team works better when we all work together. I encourage and appreciate feedback from all members of the team – we can’t get better unless we know what needs improvement.
