I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular and Cell Biology, with an emphasis in Immunology. Initially undecided about my future career, my interest in the medical field began after doing volunteer work in the Bay Area. My most memorable experiences were being a labor coach and translator for pregnant Asian immigrant women and volunteering in the playroom at Children's Hospital Oakland. I also enjoyed teaching and mentoring high school students.
I moved to the East Coast to earn my Medical Degree at the University of Pittsburgh in 2009. And though happy to have come back to the West Coast for Pediatric Residency at UCLA, I was even more excited about returning to the Bay Area to join the Kaiser Permanente family in 2012.
My sister and I grew up at the Kaiser Permanente, Milpitas office and we have experienced firsthand the great care that is provided.
I speak Mandarin and understand some Taiwanese. I am not in the clinic on Tuesdays.
