I grew up in the sunny desert of Albuquerque, New Mexico. For my undergraduate education, I headed to the cooler climate of Boston, MA where I was lucky to earn a scholarship to play softball at Boston University. Then, I headed west where I graduated from the California School of Podiatric Medicine with my Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine. I completed my surgical residency at the Kaiser Permanente San Francisco Bay Area Foot and Ankle Residency Program.
When exploring the various medical fields that I hoped to enter, my enjoyment with personal interaction and sports medicine is what initially drew me into the world of podiatry, but the wide array of conditions that podiatrists see such as trauma, diabetic wound care, and common foot ailments keeps me continually intrigued with my profession. I love interacting with patients, aiding them in understanding their condition, and helping them to feel better. Kaiser Permanente provides a great environment to treat patients, and the multi-specialty approach to patient care is incredibly valuable.
When I am not at the hospital, I enjoy exploring the Bay Area with my two dogs, photography, and watching the many Bay Area sports teams even though I still am a Red Sox fan at heart!
