Hello, thanks for visiting the Kaiser Permanente website. I work as an Emergency Medicine physician at both Kaiser Oakland and Richmond Medical Centers. Emergency Medicine is an amazing but challenging field because it is not limited to persons of any age, or medical problems of a specific category. My colleagues and I have the opportunity and privilege sometimes to perform or initiate life saving care -- we take this duty very seriously. Some of my goals for the patients I care for include: helping them to understand their disease processes, encouraging them to advocate for themselves, and emphasizing areas of prevention.

What I love most about working at Kaiser is the overall philosophy of providing our patients with collaborative, streamlined, quality care. Physician leadership continually encourages us towards clinical excellence in every facet of healthcare. Our electronic medical records are just one tool that really helps enable us to have an integrated system. Patients are able to get great follow up care services, and there is a focus on nurturing mental and physical wellbeing amongst the entire community.

My husband and I moved to San Francisco from the East Coast because we love to explore the outdoors, and enjoy the tremendous diversity of cultures and foods that the Bay area offers. Living here really allows me to lead an active healthy lifestyle, and I hope that you take advantage of all the opportunities of our unique locale as well!
