I am very grateful for the opportunity to work at Kaiser Permanente. There is a strong collegial rapport among not only the anesthesia staff, but also the medical providers and staff of every discipline. Surgery is a team sport, and working closely together with our colleagues is the best way to ensure the best medical care for our patients.
As for my background, I was actually born at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara and grew up in the Bay Area. I went to Stanford University for my undergraduate education, where I majored in Biology. For my post-graduate medical education, I attended The Ohio State University College of Medicine and graduated in 2017. I then completed my anesthesiology residency at UC Davis, where I also completed an additional fellowship year of regional anesthesia and acute pain management. Afterwards, I joined Kaiser Permanente Redwood City as an anesthesiologist in 2022.
My fellowship in regional anesthesia and acute pain management allows me to provide a safe and effective pain management strategy for our patients. I will individually tailor the anesthetic plan for each individual patient, which can range from administering multi-modal analgesia to performing nerve blocks with local anesthetics. This is to ensure a smooth recovery and optimal post-operative pain control.
My goal in practice is to always be improving. I continuously keep up with the latest research and strive to provide you with the most up-to-date medical care possible. Thank you for the privilege of taking care of you during your hospital stay.
