I was born and raised in the vibrant city of San Francisco, California. I stayed close to my roots and attended the University of California, Santa Cruz where I obtained my degree in Human Biology. It was during this early time I grew aware of the crucial value of primary care provision and since then had set my heart on Family Medicine. I proceeded to get my medical training at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, where I sought opportunities to grow my skills in preventative care, management of chronic diseases, and full spectrum care through various clinical opportunities and volunteer work. Upon completing my medical degree, I decided that home was where my heart was and made the decision to move back to the Bay Area to finally serve the community that essentially raised me.
I have always adored the fact that Family Medicine treated “everyone under the sun.” As such, I enjoy treating patients from all walks of life and of all ages. With that, I take particular interest in any aspects of medicine that will ensure I am a competent and knowledgeable physician, i.e. lifestyle, community, and preventative medicine as well as women’s health.
As a new member of the Kaiser Permanente family, I strive to be an integral part of the community through holistic, empowering, and well-rounded health care provision. As such, I am excited to be a part of the Kaiser Permanente San Jose Family Medicine Residency program for my training! I hope to provide to my patients a space where being vulnerable about their health concerns is a strength and not a weakness. I will work hard to learn about each of my patients on an individual level to best meet their health needs. Through patient education and collaboration with my patients, we will build a therapeutic alliance.
