I was born and raised in India. I speak Malayalan and Hindi. I graduated from Mount Carmel College with a P.U.C. Degree. I received my Medical Degree in 1990 at M. S. Ramaiah Medical College. I completed my Internship and Residency in General Psychiatry at the Nassau County Medical Center, and a Fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Stanford University, School of Medicine.

I joined Kaiser Permanente Medical in 2003. I specialize in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
