Thank you for taking the time to find out a bit more about me. I hope you find the information useful. I chose to specialize in orthopaedic spine surgery because I find this field to be extremely rewarding. I feel that I will be able to contribute to the ongoing evolution in the treatment of spinal disorders. I know that you have a choice among many excellent physicians and I appreciate your trust in me. I would like to further that trust by sharing with you my background and qualifications.
I am a true Bay Area native. I went to medical school at the University of Michigan; in addition, I accomplished my orthopaedic surgery residency and spine surgery fellowship at Stanford University. In 2003, I helped establish the spine center at Kaiser Permanente in San Diego. I am currently working at Kaiser Permanente in San Jose and helping develop a Regional Spine Center of Excellence.
I encourage every member to work hard at maintaining good health. Make sure that you are eating healthy meals, exercising and avoiding tobacco. I advise members to take advantage of the services that are offered by Kaiser Permanente. We are genuinely interested in helping you preserve your good health. With regard to spinal disorders, seek a professional opinion early and get as much information as you can. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or get more than one opinion.
